On Saturday December 11th, we will have as our speaker a nationally known presenter who is known as the “Legal Genealogist.” Judy Russell will present “Don’t Forget the Ladies”–a Genealogist’s Guide to Women and the Law in early America.  I think all of us have run into problems tracing the women in our family trees. Judy will talk about the nature of documents involving women and how to work with them.

Ms. Russell has had a wide variety of experiences which have made her knowledgeable in the field.  She has been a newspaper reporter, legal investigator, defense attorney, federal prosecutor, and law editor.

 Come and be part of this special program.  Bring your questions about women and the documents where we have found them.
