Waterbury native Tony Renzoni will discuss his new book, Rock ‘n’ Roll Radio Connecticut: Magic Moments & Unforgettable Disc Jockeys, which tells the stories of the state’s charismatic DJs, including those at Waterbury’s WCCO and WATR. Learn about the fierce rivalry between WDRC and WPOP, the zany antics of Joey Reynolds, and the on-air “death” of Lee “Baby” Simms. With in-depth interviews and photos, Renzoni traces the influential role of past and present on-air personalities. Copies of the book will be available for signing.
